Developing the Abundant Mindset

Many people are guilty of thinking small. They believe only for enough to get by today and maybe tomorrow. Their vision is only for their own lives. But what about the world? There are needs all over the world, from healthcare and food to housing and clean water. We cannot make a difference for the poor if we are struggling to make ends meet ourselves. Instead, we must believe for more, for overflow, for abundance. As we develop this mindset, we can begin to make a difference for the poor and needy in our world.

Positive affirmations

Begin each day with positive affirmations that will remind you of who you are and where you are going. Use this list or make your own:

I am a person of worth, a person of value. I matter.

I am strong and wise.

I have what it takes to succeed and be happy.

I deserve wealth, good health and happiness.

Embrace Life!

Embrace your life –the good and the bad. Begin to identify the areas that you feel aren’t working the way they should. It may be a job, your marriage or some bad habit. Think about ways you can rectify negative situations in your life. Do you need to find a new job? You may need to have a long talk with a family member. You may have to give up a bad habit. But in the end, believe that you will come out of it with a greater understanding about some person or situation. You’ll move forward without that bad habit. You’ll work on improving relationships with friends and family members.
